My name is Shanna Noel and I live in Sonoma County, California with my husband Jonathan and our two beautiful daughters. We traveled all over the country before settling back home and I have never been happier to be surrounded by family! I have always had a passion for capturing the little details I want to remember 10 years from now. When I discovered paper scrapbooking through Studio Calico in the summer
of 2012 I fell in love with the whole process but it wasn’t until I started using my journaling bible that I really felt the meaning behind what I was creating. I was extremely nervous to share my new form of worship as I wasn’t sure how people would react to it. Looking back, I am so glad that
I listened to the whisper that God put on my heart to share with you all, because from the moment I shared that first post on my blog (in early 2014) it has been a wildfire that just keeps growing. By sharing that I was documenting my faith right there in my bible, it turned the light bulb on for so many women… “YES!!! it’s okay to use the gifts God has given you to glorify HIM!”.

Bible Journaling is the expression of combining FAITH and ART. Individuals can share their faith through artwork that origibnates from a passion for creativity.
Bible journaling is an exciting way to engage with Scripture. It can transform the way you spend time in the Word and it all begins within the margins of the Bible.
With Bible journaling, you will find a creative and fresh approach to the age-old discipline of Bible reading. With pen in hand, you can visually capture Scripture, meditate on God's Word and memorize the text. Some choose to journal as an expression of private devotion, others journal as an act of worship and there are even some who consider it a creative outlet that can be shared.
No matter what your purpose for Bible journaling, the beauty of the movement is this: it doesn’t require a skilled artist. All that matters is that you’re willing to experience God and His Word in a creative way.
When Shanna discovered paper scrapbooking in 2012, but it wasn't until she started using her journaling bible when she felt the meaning behind her creations. While struggling to connect with God, Shanna realized her path:
"Why have I never used this gift of creativity to glorify Him?"
Once Shanna connected her passion with her desires to have a personal relationship with God, a fire ignited in her! For the first time in her life, Shanna craved to dive into the word. As a result, Shanna continues to share her process; many others are joining along, with the same fire in their hearts.
Shanna was nervous to share her new way of worship. After sleeping on it, the post went viral and quickly hundreds of emails flooded in from those also wanting to connect to the Word in a visual way. Alas, ILLUSTRATED FAITH was born. ILLUSTRATED FAITH strives to be a company that offers transformative, creative and dynamic resources to ignite a passion for exploring God's word among a faithful community. ILLUSTRATED FAITH does not impose aon someone's journey, but rather be a tool in the spiritual transformaton process.
Encourage friends and loved ones with handwritten notes of affirmation on inspiring and whimsically designed cards! Also, include one in your journaling Bible that reminds you to 'let go & let God'; that encourages you to remember 'it's the little things'; that prompts you to keep in mind 'those who believe are set free'; and, that inspires you to 'have faith...for God is on your side'.
